Radiant Face

Title:  Radiant Face

Text:  Exodus 34:29-35

Summary:

We learned last week that we must first imitate Him if we are to make an impact worthy of our faith that truly reflects His love and grace.  As we understand the importance of us first being impacted by God, we lean into the story of Moses when He encountered God’s glory.  Our own encounters with God are evidenced in our radiant faces.  Are we willing to climb the mountain?  Are we willing to consecrate ourselves?

Practice of Silence

What is the greatest enemy of spiritual life in our day? It isn’t immorality, corruption, or debauchery, rather, we are habitually too preoccupied to be still before God—to commune with Him and be continuously transformed by Him. Thanksgiving to Serving

Mark 1:29-31

Gratitude not only leads to giving thanks but it also leads to serving.  Today, we look into the story of Simon’s mother-in-law and what her response was when Jesus healed of her illness.  Her gratitude led to serving.  What can we do in the areas which we are thankful for?  How can we further express our gratitude toward different relationships and circles which we belong to?  Today, we go from thanksgiving to serving!

Better Together

We continue to explore what it means to be an interdependent community. We learned last week that we are called to commune together as evident in Acts 2. Today, we study the importance of authentically close relationship that is Christ-centered. We ought to fight against superficiality and seek to go deeper. Today, we explore through 5 marks of intimacy that we should look and strive for at home and at church.

Interdependent Community

Acts 2:42-47

What defines a community?  What does a God-centered, healthy community of faith look like?  Today, we explore the meaning of interdependence—symbiotic relationship where the health of parties engaged are reliant on the participation (cooperation) of the others.  Acts 2 church is a great model for us as we pray to be a community that is filled with the sense of awe as the Holy Spirit ministers to and through us.

Abide: Sabbath & Rhythms

We continue our talk on abide, life with God. Apostle John is quite descriptive in admonishing us that there is no life apart from Jesus. No grand affairs of our own will amount to anything significant if we aren’t found firmly rooted in Christ. Today, we explore the importance of spiritual rhythms that lead to vivacious faith life. It is time for us to reclaim intimacy with God that may have been lost during this Covid season.
