Faith Series - Moving Mountains

Matthew 17:14-21

Today concludes the 8-week series on the topic of faith.  Being reminded that faith is what brings launches us to the reality of God, we want to believe and live as we are encouraged by God’s Word.  Faith activates God’s power and ability upon our lives, and “nothing is impossible to us.”  We learn that having such faith in God is evidenced by the prayer and fasting.  Do you have mountains in your life that need to be moved?  Will you commit to a lifestyle of persistent prayer?

Faith Series - Even if Not

Habakkuk 3:17-19

There are moments in life where we do not come out as "winners". Even after a season of diligent prayer or limit-testing perseverance, there are things that are out of our reach.  There is a whole another level of faith that leads us to rejoice and celebrate even if circumstances do not change.  It is what the Bible calls “even though”-faith. As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, we rejoice that He is our God and that He alone is supremely sufficient.

Faith Series - Intimacy with God

1 Chronicles 28:8-9

Intimacy with the Lord produces a supernatural joy that the world cannot offer.  This joy is able to carry us through the storms of life and church.  This joy can also be a powerful witness for Christ among believers and unbelievers.  Once again, intimacy with God which is the first and greatest commandment:  "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength," is the foundation to possessing the joy of the Lord.

Faith Series - Hold a Little Longer

2 Corinthians 6 : 3 - 10

Life is hard.  The great comfort for Christians isn’t that life is without any trouble, rather, God is with us at every turn.  Today, we focus on the kind of faith that does not give up—no matter how bleak the situation may seem, no matter how tired we feel, even if we are on the verge of collapsing, God encourages us to keep on keeping on.  He promises us that we shall overcome any afflictions and reign victorious when we endure.  Are you in a difficult place today?  Are you running out of patience/endurance?  Have faith, don’t give up.

Faith Series - One Thing Missing

Luke 18:18-30

In lieu of last week’s sermon, we learn the necessity of “leaving” as part of a healthy faith life.  Today, we will discuss financial stewardship.  While many Christians avoid this topic as it is awkward or difficult, we do not have faith in God if we are not able to freely give what He has given to us.  We will learn what it means to be a good steward as we also learn about tithing and giving.  We want to be a people of faith in the way we serve God through our finances.

Faith Series - Safety Net

Matthew 4:18-25

At the heart of having faith in God is trusting that He will provide for our every need.  To have faith means having the courage to release unto Him the things that bring us security and comfort.  We do not have faith if we cannot follow Christ; we cannot follow if we do not fully surrender all to Him.  Before we can become what He wants us to be, we must first die to what we once were.  Are we ready to lay it all down before God?  What does that look like?

Faith Series - No Shame

Mark 5:21-34

Faith leads us to Jesus.  Faith proclaims what we long for is in Jesus—assurance of our hope is in Jesus; conviction of things unseen lies in Jesus.  If we believe in Jesus, we should run to Jesus. We should be bold to come and touch Him as we are desperate for His healing touch as God loves shameless seekers.  What is your sickness today?  Why are you not running to Him right now?

Faith Series - As You Say

Luke 5:1-11

We continue our series on Faith.  We pick up where we left off last week where we learned that faith is the vehicle that carries us to the realm of God’s power and ability.  We learn today that faith means obeying (trusting) God where we surrender our own experiences, expertise, and even inconvenience.  God works when we have place our complete faith and trust in Him.  In what areas of our lives is God calling us to trust and obey Him?

Faith Series - The Kingdom Way

Hebrews 11:1-3

Today, we begin an 8-week series on the topic of faith.  In life’s journeys, we encounter plenty of moments that shake the core of what we know and believe to be true.  We are susceptible to leading a life full of doubts, worries, and even fears.  Faith is not just good tool for us, it is a necessary agent that allow us to engage God on His terms.  Through faith, miracles and healing can be had; through faith, we can hope against all odds and be restored of true joy. The Bible teaches us that it is impossible to please God without faith, but it is truer that it is impossible to fully experience God without faith.
