God Behind the Veil
The Fall marked the start of a troubling relationship between God and man. Man enters the “broken” state where he is no longer allowed uninhibited access to perfect fellowship with God. God leads Israel’s journey as they repeat the course of disappointing and hurting God through their sin, selfishness and rebellion. All of humanity finds itself in the similar state yearning for reconciliation with God. What does God do? What does God prepare in response?

Passage: Genesis 2:25-3:13
Advent: Created for Him
The question that most people ask is “Why” or “What”. Why did God create the earth? Why did God create us? What is the purpose of creation? What is my purpose in life, or what is God’s will for me? Today, looking at the Genesis account of creation and various scripture passages we’ll be unpacking the purpose of creation.

Giving Thanks
Giving thanks is not simply a response to fortunate circumstances but it is an act of faith. It is recognizing that God is faithfully working in every situation of our lives. In today’s text, there were 10 people who encountered the same life-changing miracle, but only one of them came back to thank Jesus. We pray to be a people who always recognize God’s work and give Him thanks.

The Great Promise
Philippians 1: 6
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

The Cross Way
Text: Mark 8:27-38 (focus on 34)
Summary:
We need reminders that God did not save us for our good; He did not save us so we can achieve our dreams or live the life we wish to live. The cross and our salvation through Jesus beckons us to follow in His steps. Through today’s sermon, we reflect on the meaning of discipleship and commit to yield more to Jesus. We aim to find joy in surrendering our desires/likes as we pursue HIS desires and passions.
Ambassadors for Christ
Title: “Ambassadors for Christ”
Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:14-20
Synopsis:
Apostle Paul, compelled by the love of Christ, lived his life as an ambassador of Jesus Christ. An ambassador is one who represents and carries the message of the one who sent them. In scripture we find today, that every believer has been called to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ. Taking the example of Paul, I pray that we will also be compelled by the love of Christ to live our lives for Him as His ambassador.
The One Thing Necessary
We can easily be distracted with many things; some even being good, while totally neglecting what is necessary. Life gets busy; our lives become busy. So, much so that many times we become too busy for Christ. All the busyness tends to distract us from Christ that we neglect the necessity of being with Him. Today we look at a very familiar passage in the Bible about two sisters and Jesus that speaks on this issue. My goal today is not to teach something new, but to simply remind us and hopefully encourage us to not neglect Jesus Christ in all our busyness of life and service.

Growing Up
There is a shift that should take place in our relationship with our parents as we reach fuller maturity in adulthood. As we continue in our growth in age and life stage, the way we relate to our parents and how they should involve themselves in our own lives must change. Also, some of us may be confused about the meaning of “honoring our parents.” Today, we learn what it means to honor our parents as we distinguish the meaning of honoring and obeying. Ultimately, we want to be faithful in cultivating a healthy relationship with our aging parents.
